Atheism

Atheism is usually defined as either of the following:

• a lack of belief in the existence of God or gods
• the doctrine or belief that there is no God

The first definition is less vulnerable to arguments of the kind that "you also believe in something". An argument such as "not believing is also a belief" is nonsensical.
