Daniel unambiguously wrote what it means to be Enlightened in his essay about arahats. For example, he mentioned that the following is a fallacy:
- Arahats cannot feel the following emotions: lust, hatred, irritation, restlessness, worry, fear, pride, conceit, desire for the formless realms, desire for the formed realms, or any other "bad" emotion.
As these very emotions are the causes for sorrow and malice, his Arahatship is of no use to a person wanting to be happy and harmless on this planet.
